KUALA LUMPUR 4 Julai - Tindakan Felda membawa Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) ke mahkamah dalam isu fitnah 'Felda Bankrap' akan membuka pekung untuk membuktikan parti berkenaan adalah pemfitnah terbesar.
Ketua Penerangan UMNO, Datuk Ahmad Maslan berkata, ini kerana Felda bukan sahaja mempunyai kedudukan kewangan yang cukup kukuh malah jumlah nilai asetnya boleh mencecah RM60 bilion jika 340,000 hektar tanah milik Felda dinilai dengan harga semasa.
Katanya, pihak PKR sebelum ini beria-ia mengatakan inilah peluang untuk mereka membongkar penyelewengan dalam Felda.
"Saya pula ingin menjawab bahawa inilah peluang Felda membongkar dan membuktikan bahawa PKR adalah parti pemfitnah terbesar.
"Tuduhan yang mereka sebut itu memang jelas tidak benar. Felda mempunyai kedudukan kewangan yang cukup kukuh kerana kita ada aset yang cukup besar, RM15 bilion aset itu adalah asset at cost. Bukan aset nilai semasa.
"Jika tanah yang 340,000 hektar itu dinilaikan dengan harga semasa, tentu nilai aset berkaitan mungkin tiga empat kali ganda daripada 15,000 juta (RM15 bilion)," katanya ketika ditemui pemberita selepas merasmikan Mesyuarat Perwakilan Pergerakan Puteri UMNO Bahagian Batu di sini hari ini.
Hadir sama pada majlis tersebut ialah Ketua UMNO Bahagian Batu, Datuk Yahya Mat Ghani dan Ketua Pergerakan Puteri UMNO Bahagian Batu, Nor Hazreena Mohd. Hashim.
Ahmad berkata, Felda juga tidak akan bankrap kerana bukan sahaja tidak mempunyai banyak tanggungan malah daripada segi nisbah kewangan menunjukkan penyata kewangan yang amat sihat dengan jumlah RM12.2 bilion.
Dalam pada itu, Ahmad juga menolak dakwaan mengenai tender Felda yang dikatakan banyak dibolot oleh orang UMNO dan menjelaskan tender Felda merupakan tender terbuka dan semua orang Melayu yang berkelayakan boleh memohon dan mendapat tender tersebut.
Malah tegasnya, selain konsultan bertauliah dan profesional, terdapat juga sebuah jawatankuasa pelaburan untuk menimbang sebelum mengambil keputusan untuk melabur di mana-mana.

Tak Guna,UMNO over react diatas kes FELDA..
Kalau dah HILANG hampir 3BILLION ringgit (iaitu 3000 JUTA),jangan nak cover up dengan nak saman Suara Keadilan sebagai scapegoat untuk menutup BANGKAI GAJAH serta berPOLITIKkan ISU kehilangan wang FELDA..!!!Saperti kata PM,baru2 ini;
"Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has outlined four important factors that influence the attitude of the people on Umno and their aspirations for the party in championing their cause.
He said the 1st factor was whether the people were satisfied with the leadership at the national, state, divisional and branch levels with regard to the programmes implemented.(eg,How DPM Mahyuddin didnt take care of Muar,Johor, sampai even PR is now making strong inroads}....
Najib, who is also the Umno president, said the implementation of policies and the decisions made would be taken by the people as a yardstick in improving service to the local community.
"The 2nd factor is how the state leadership manages land applications, whether the land is to be opened up, housing matters and other issues which are related to the leadership at the state level,(eg How Ghani Othman take care of Muar as compared to Malacca,just see the area cleanliness,etc)" he said in his winding up speech at delegates meeting of the Pekan Umno division, here Sunday.
He said the 3rd factor was the party leadership at the grassroots, branch and divisional levels which would be assessed by the people in terms of their management and whether the people were satisfied, like the evaluation made at the national level.
The 4th factor was the role played by the elected representatives, whether they fulfilled the aspirations of the people, he said.
Najib said a political tsunami would occur if these four factors turned out to be negative factors where the people were dissatisfied with the leadership at the national, state, party and constituency levels.
"Thus, I call on all party leaders, whether at the grassroots or divisional levels, to discharge their responsibilities in the interest of the rakyat," he said.
He also urged all branches and divisions to simplify the registration of new members wishing to join Umno to demonstrate that the party was prepared to provide assistance and adopted an open attitude in whatever matters that concerned the rakyat.
The party president said registration of members could not be done seasonally but should be carried out continuously by organising various activities that would benefit and attract the interest of the people to join Umno."(4/7/2010)
